I want my audiences to be able to keep my dances at their home. I feel good about that. I love the performances I did at the Longwood Gardens Chrysanthemum Festival. The beautiful architectural setting, stately trees, and gorgeous flowers made such a perfect stage for a dancer to unite with her audience. I like to learn dance from other arts, from life, and from nature. The art of Chinese painting is a great study. Copying the work of famous artists teaches me about line and style and formal presentation. I love the style of Ba-da-shan-ren (1626-1705) from the Qing Dynasty. His sharp pen, vigorous style, and succinct forms create a deeper meaning… this is the way I want my dances to be. I want to share my artwork with my audience. I hope you mat them with 11 x14 inch mats with colors like cream-white, cream-yellow, red or black to match the colors of your home. The addition of thin black frames will help them look best.
