A folk dance from Inner Mongolia in north China. Mongolia is the biggest pastoral area in China. The people are brave, warm, and honest as befits their rugged and simple lifestyle. Grassland was inspired by the famous song "Mongolian" by singer and composer Teng Geri: "Cook smoke from kitchen chimney of the clean white felt house, I was born in herdsman family, the wide grassland is the cradle which raised me up, I value it as I value my own body. I am the Mongolian, the man who loves his homeland…"
