In November 2006 I visited to China at the first time since I came to America in 2000. I returned with much emotion and created a new dance it is called the “1000 Layer Shoes” In China old tradition to wear a pair of hand made shoes is an honor, because the shoes are made with love, each stitch carries a thought, and a wish… Today hand made shoes are hard to find, I hope the love and respect for the good traditions of the past will not suffer the fate of the hand made shoes…
