First Met Russell
On a dark and rainy summer morning 8/2006, I was eating breakfast on the porch. A Raccoon (I named her Russell) appeared before me with a miserable look. I heard the raccoons digging in the garbage cans in the night, but I never saw a Raccoon that close up. She must have been extremely hungry. I put my porridge bowl and a piece of bread on the ground and watched her eat. Since that day Russell has come every evening and I feed her with a bowl of my dog food and a bowl of clean water, some time I add a few cookies and chocolate. She loves sweets.

A week later she stood on the garage roof looking at me, but did not come down even though I had food in my hand. When I got closer, I saw three small raccoon's faces. I understood that Russell is a mother and she was showing me her children.
I knew that one bowl of food and water wouldn't be enough for her family. Since that day I put out three plates of food and a big bowl for water every night.

My back porch became popular for the raccoon society. Even Russell's husband joined the banquet. Everyone is getting big and strong 9/08.

Russell is a very nice raccoon, very gentle and friendly, her eyes show her gratitude.

Russell's Last Visit
The last time I saw Russell (April 7, 2009). She never showed up again. I waited for her return and called her name and continued to feed her children, but she never returned. I feel sad and cannot forgot Russell.

She is a special raccoon.

Russell came back

On the evening of August 15, I was great surprised to seen Russell stand at the outside of the kitchen door, she came

to me with exhausted looks, she was very thin and I found other three young babies behind of her… I realized the reason

of Russell’s dispreads. I feed her some special food like milk, eggs, cookies and nuts, I am so glad to seeing her.
